Remembering the 1938 Hurricane - Wednesday, September 19th at 6:30 pm
On September 21, 1938, one of the most destructive and powerful hurricanes in recorded history struck Rhode Island. In observance of the 80th anniversary of this life-changing natural disaster, local filmmaker Carla Ricci, will show her Emmy nominated “One Day…A Story of Storm”. Following the 20 minute, Teresa Crean of the Coastal Resource Center will speak on how Rhode Island is prepared for another major storm and the destruction it can bring. A question and answer period will follow.
