Read to a Dog! Saturday November 9th @ 10am - 12pm
Sawdust is coming back to the library,
and he can't wait to listen to you read a book!
Children in grades 1 - 5 can practice their reading skills by reading out loud to Sawdust, a Newfoundland! Children will sign up for a 15-minute time slot and are welcome to bring a book from home (their favorite or current book), or they can choose from a selection at the library.
Registration required. Please call 294-3306 x 5 to register for your 15-minute time slot, or for any questions.
*About our visitors: Sawdust is an 8-year old Newfoundland and therapy dog certified through Pet Partners. Christine, Sawdust's handler, is a retired civil engineer. She currently works as a certified veterinary technician and volunteers as an evaluator and instructor with Pet Partners. Together they visit a variety of facilities, including schools, nursing homes, and the Ronald McDonald House.
