Plantation Goods with Seth Rockman

Brown University professor of history Seth Rockman will be at the library to discusss his new book, Plantation Goods: A Material History of American Slavery.  Rockman's book explores the connection between the Northern industrial economy and the slavery system of the South. Rockman did research on many New England textile mills for his book and gathered some information from materials held in the library's South County Room.
