Annual Appeal

North Kingstown Free Library invites the community to support our efforts to enrich lives with a tax-deductible donation to the year-end appeal.

If you are a long-time Friends of the Library member, a lapsed member or a library lover, we need YOU! The Friends of the Library has supported and promoted the library since 1955 and the annual membership and appeal drive raises the majority of the money that the Library needs to fund programming and special projects for EVERYONE free of charge.
How is that money used?
In the last year, the Friends provided funds for library programming that included:

  • a summer music series,
  • Shakespeare Studies,
  • poetry readings,
  • self-improvement workshops,
  • monthly movie nights,
  • history of North Kingstown walks with Tim Cranston,
  • Animal Experiences with live animals and many more programs for children,
  • cooking techniques,
  • after school teen programs including movies and teen trivia,
  • summer reading programs for all ages.

And this list is far from complete!

We hope you will make an investment in our ability to fund the activities and programs to serve the community and its wide variety of needs.

Please use the donation form below. Thank you.

Borrow Our Telescope!

The library now has an Orion StarBlast Astro Reflector telescope available for patrons aged 18 and older to borrow.
