Bruce Luscombe, a life-long gem and fossil collector, will present this slide talk about some of the great treasures found in New England. The program will be followed by 30 minutes of Q&A and “hands-on” examination of some of these treasures. You may not know that hidden beneath the ordinary rocks we see every day there are beautiful gemstones, wonderful crystals, and fantastic fossils! You just have to know where to look. Gem quality tourmaline has been found in both CT and ME and some of the world’s best locations for fossil dinosaur tracks are in MA and CT. Recent discoveries within 30 miles of Providence are revealing some great fossils and crystals too. Please register.
